Cannabis Addiction

HYPNOTHERAPY FOR CANNABIS ADDICTION – IN READING & DIDCOT

If cannabis has become something you rely on — to relax, sleep, cope with stress, or switch off — it’s not because you’re weak or lacking willpower. Cannabis dependency is driven by subconscious habit loops and emotional coping patterns… and these can be changed.

I help people across Reading, Didcot and online reduce and stop cannabis use using hypnotherapy, NLP and calm, practical mindset techniques.

Many clients notice significant changes in control, motivation and clarity within just a few sessions.

Do Any of These Sound Like You?

• Using cannabis to relax, sleep or manage stress
• Feeling dependent on weed to feel “normal”
• Wanting to stop — but worrying about withdrawal
• Low motivation, focus or confidence
• Feeling stuck in the same routine
• Anxiety when trying to cut down
• Cannabis affecting work, relationships or goals
• Saying “I’ll stop soon” but not following through

If this feels familiar, you’re not alone — and it can change.

Why Cannabis Dependency Happens

Cannabis use is rarely just about the drug.
It’s often linked to:

• Anxiety or stress relief
• Emotional avoidance
• Habit loops and routine
• Dopamine and reward patterns
• Using cannabis to switch off or sleep
• Identity or lifestyle attachment
• Fear of coping without it

Over time, the brain learns to associate cannabis with calm or relief — even when it’s no longer helping.

That’s why willpower alone often isn’t enough.

How I Help

• Positive Psychology

I don’t use scripts — every session is tailored to your reasons for using cannabis and how the habit developed.

The goal is simple:
Help you feel calm, clear-headed and in control — without needing weed.

Matthew changed my life after 36 years of personal crisis/ hell. I would willingly have paid ten times what I paid him ( don’t tell him that). On top of his skill, and the success of how he has turned my life around 180 degrees, he is a lovely, sincere, and caring chap who is real and relatable. He has encouraged me to now turn my back on the soulless industry that is IT and pursue a career in hypnotherapy to help people like myself who have been a prisoner of their own mind for decades. I cannot thank him enough or rate him any higher. Thank you Matthew. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve been smoking for over 30 years and for 28 of those I’ve been smoking cannabis every day.. Over the last 10 years, my habit grew out of control and I was spending over £500 a month on weed… 8 days ago I met Matthew… 8 days ago I stopped smoking… Every day I pinch myself… If I hadn’t gone to see him id be sat smoking now.. I’ve already saved the cost of the appointment.. I would recommend seeing him if you are truly ready to stop.. But you have to want to stop more than anything .. Good luck

July 2021 – today marks 8 weeks…. I’ve been smoke free for 8 weeks… Didn’t even need to go back to the 2nd session.. Matthew 🙏🙏 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
