Hypnotherapy can help with PE and the issues around this; and then gaining control of your body, breathing, sexual and mind sensations – And you can start performing much more how you’d idealy wish to
Sexual difficulties may begin early in a person’s life, or they may develop latter on. A problem may develop gradually over time, or may occur suddenly. The causes of sexual difficulties can be physical, psychological, or both.
With PE there is likely to be a single, root cause stored away in the subconscious mind. You may be aware of it or somethings you can’t think of, consciously at least. It’s often something small, easily forgotten or something easily overlooked. However once you find it, it can be hard to believe that something so small could have caused so much trouble.
Emotional factors affecting sex include both interpersonal problems (such as marital or relationship problems, or lack of trust and open communication between partners) and psychological problems within the individual (sexual fears or guilt, depression or past sexual trauma).
Some common conditions include:
- Inability to attain an erection
- Inability to maintain an erection adequately for intercourse
- Delay or absence of ejaculation, despite adequate stimulation
- Inability to control timing of ejaculation
- Lack of interest or desire in sex (loss of libido)
- Inability to feel aroused
- Pain with intercourse
Hypnotherapy and sexual issues
Hypnosis can be a very useful in the treatment of sexual problems including premature ejaculation and impotence. It is important that any physical factors are ruled out before treatment of using hypnotherapy is sought. With sexual issues as with many others it is common for anxiety, stress, guilt, an inability to relax, nerves and confidence to be the root cause. Both hypnotherapy and NLP are excellent at helping overcome such issues and together we can work towards your solution state.
Impotence
The first thing to do if you are suffering from impotence is to speak to a medically trained professional and have physical causes ruled out. If the cause appears to be stress or anxiety related then a course of hypnotherapy could be very helpful.
Physical factors that can contribute include: Drugs (alcohol, nicotine, narcotics, stimulants, antihypertensives, antihistamines), Injuries to the back, enlarged prostate gland, problems with blood supply, nerve damage, disease, endocine disorders (thyroid, pituitary, adrenal gland), hormonal deficiencies and failure of various organ systems (heart, lungs).

Some Realistic Expectations are Necessary
Premature ejaculation is the most common ejaculation problem. It’s where the male ejaculates too quickly during sexual intercourse.
A study looking at 500 couples from 5 different countries found the average time taken to ejaculate during intercourse was around 5-and-a-half minutes. However, it’s up to each couple to decide if they’re happy with the time taken – there’s no definition of how long sex should last.
Occasional episodes of premature ejaculation are common and are not a cause for concern. However, if you’re finding that around half of your attempts at sex result in premature ejaculation, it might help to get treatment.
Measures you can try yourself
It can sometimes help to:
- masturbate an hour or 2 before having sex
- use a thick condom to help decrease sensation
- take a deep breath to briefly shut down the ejaculatory reflex (an automatic reflex of the body during which ejaculation occurs)
- have sex with your partner on top (to allow them to pull away when you are close to ejaculating)
- take breaks during sex and think about something boring
